Race 3, #10 LOCAL LAWMAKER ($27.60, $14.60, $8.00) Exacta ($165.60) Trifecta ($1,546.60)

It’s a shame LOCAL LAWMAKER
($27.60, $14.60, $8.00) lands the outside post in this spot, but I’m not so sure he isn’t the best horse tonight, and should Tetrick somehow find a way to get this one involved, the price will be more than rewarding.  Makes second start over the track after shipping from Dover, won over this track last year, and did well to close in his most recent.  Both Casino King and Johnny Charisma went onto finish 2nd in each of their next races.  #8 Cardmaster ($9.20, $6.20) showed speed last out, in a race won by the deserving class dropping Lil Rock N Rustler.  #9 Red Star Catch has been dangling for this price tag for a few starts now; finally came up short last week.  Very tough play now.  #2 Fast N Famous ($3.00) is an obvious short priced contender; can’t knock.

 April 18, 2009:  Race 9, #7 REAL TOWN GUY ($72.40, $34.20, $17.20)

REAL TOWN GUY is taking a big step up tonight, but so is half of the field.  Was entered last out in a claimer for the first time ever, and there was a taker.  New trainer Anthony see’s well enough to step him way up, after a race in which he was closing fairly well.  Prior to that he was facing Broadway Jake (nearly bet him 4 back), and that one just mentioned was in a near Open level last week.  Dube/Anthony have been going well together, and I do expect some type of lively pace for our choice to close into.  #1 Trouble Hanover is Julie/Andy for the 3rd time, just couldn’t quite reach in last, but now moves all the way to the inside.  #3 Southern Comfort goes first off the claim for Coleman, obvious short priced contender.  #10 Major Domo gets YG tonight with DM going to the Rucker trainee, and I’d be willing to bet that he’ll be gunning out of here.  If he can work out a trip, its not out of the question, at a big price.
