Saturday 4/18 Meadowlands Spot Play Winner (Highest To Date)

Race 9, #7 REAL TOWN GUY, 8/1 ML ($72.40, $34.20, $17.20)

REAL TOWN GUY is taking a big step up tonight, but so is half of the field.  Was entered last out in a claimer for the first time ever, and there was a taker.  New trainer Anthony see’s well enough to step him way up, after a race in which he was closing fairly well.  Prior to that he was facing Broadway Jake (nearly bet him 4 back), and that one just mentioned was in a near Open level last week.  Dube/Anthony have been going well together, and I do expect some type of lively pace for our choice to close into.  #1 Trouble Hanover is Julie/Andy for the 3rd time, just couldn’t quite reach in last, but now moves all the way to the inside.  #3 Southern Comfort goes first off the claim for Coleman, obvious short priced contender.  #10 Major Domo gets YG tonight with DM going to the Rucker trainee, and I’d be willing to bet that he’ll be gunning out of here.  If he can work out a trip, its not out of the question, at a big price.

Wednesday 3/25 Meadowlands Spot Play Winner

Race 1, #9 AVIEWTOAKILL, 15/1 ML ($44.80, $11.20, $7.80)

I had my eye on AVIEWTOAKILL as a longshot for the last couple months ever since he ran in a good qualifier against Yankee Matthew and Rompaway Alvin, and actually loomed as a threat at 80/1 last out.  That came on the switch to Berry, and he is back in the bike again tonight.  Was parked out the entire mile first up last week, and was still hanging in there pretty good into the stretch.  Odds should certainly be astronomical again.  #5 Credit Watch is going to be short odds again, and I’m convinced he is simply not fast enough to win this under any circumstance.  #2 Bobbi Jo’s Lindy makes second start of the year for Schnittker, coming off a jogburger at Saratoga.  Q against Intimidator wasn’t bad either, and we all know Schnittker’s history with young trotters.  #8 Sierra Marvel goes from 2 races from the pole, to post 8.
